Volkswagen Group Australia has issued a recall for all 2017 to 2018 badged Amarok vehicles equipped with the V6 TDI Engine.
The recall relates to the improper fitment of a clip on the power steering fluid return hose. In the event the clip fitment is not rectified, power steering fluid could be discharged and a loss of power steering assistance may be experienced.
This unexpected failure of the power steering system may affect the handling of the vehicle which may cause a possible safety risk to the occupants of the vehicle as well as other road users.
Volkswagen Australia intends to contat all owners via mail. Owners of the aforementioned vehicles should contact their nearest Volkswagen dealership to arrange inspection and repair of the vehicle.
