Win your way to SEMA 2019 Competition Terms

 

This competition is operated and promoted by Autoexpert Consulting Group Pty Ltd T/A Mechanic Community Australia (ABN: 18 166 747 726), referred to as 'Mechanic Community Australia' hereon in.

 

Important Considerations

  • Mechanic.com.au is a Trade Only Website and SEMA is a Trade only event. You must be currently employed and working in the Automotive Service & Repair Industry in order to attend this event.

  • Children under the age of 16 are not permitted within the SEMA Event
  • The Winner may need to consider certain matters including but not limited to Passport eligibility/holding, Travel Insurance and VISA requirements for international travel.

 

Competition Period

This competition commences on 24/07/19 at 12:00PM ACST and closes on 11/9/19 at 11:59PM ACST. No entries will be accepted outside of these times.

 

The Prize

The prize inclusions are listed below:

  • 1x (ONE) Return Economy Airfare from your nearest CAPITAL CITY within AUSTRALIA 
  • 4x (FOUR) Nights Accomodation in the Las Vegas area
  • 1x (ONE) Ticket to the SEMA 2019 Event

 

Entry Conditions

Entrants must have a registered user profile on the Mechanic.com.au Website in order to be eligible for the prize.

Entrants must submit their entry via the ‘SEMA 2019 - Showcase your WORKSHOP!’ form and/or ‘SEMA 2019 - Showcase your WHEELS’ form as found on the Mechanic.com.au website during the competition period.

Entrants may complete both the ‘SEMA 2019 - Showcase your WORKSHOP!’ form as well as the ‘SEMA 2019 - Showcase your WHEELS!’ form, making up to a total of 2 entries into the draw.

Entrants may not submit multiple entries to each form. Should this occur, the first (earliest) entry will be counted as the submission and subsequent entries rendered null and void for each respective form.

Mechanic Community Australia reserves the right to disqualify any entrants or entries where we reasonably suspect any unlawful or improper conduct or if there has otherwise been a breach of the competition terms and conditions.

You must work in the Specialty Equipment Aftermarket industry and you will be required to provide documentation. Documentation may include a business card (company name and address must correspond with information in your registration, and must include a job title), business license, tax registration certificate or business registration, recent paycheck stub, and/or business photo ID (must include company name, photo and your name).

Basically, you need to prove that your business or the employer you work for is a current and legitimate automotive aftermarket business. To that end, business registration, certificate, tax ID or resale card/number is acceptable. The next part is to prove that you are the current owner or currently employed by that business. If the business license states you are the owner, that is acceptable. If you work for a business owned by someone else, you need to provide a business card or a paycheck stub OR a photo ID–all must state your name and the name of the company, which must agree with the name of the company you are providing in your registration record. You also must provide an email address–preferably a company email address.  All documents must be provided in English.

 

Judging and Winner

The winning entry will be chosen by our judging panel based on the most creative submission.

The judges' decision is final and non-negotiable.

Judging will be carried out at 34 Stepney Street, Stepney, 5069, South Australia upon conclusion of the competition.

The winner will be announced via the Mechanic.com.au Website and notified via e-mail at the address provided on the entry form on Tuesday 17th of September, 2019. 

The winner will be called on the phone number provided on the entry form on Wednesday the 18th of September should they not have replied to the e-mail by this time.

All reasonable attempts will be made to contact the winner.

The winner will have 7 days to return contact Mechanic Community Australia to claim their prize, otherwise, the prize will be forfeited and the judges will select another winner.

Should this occur, the second-draw winner will have 7 days from the notification date via email and phone to return contact Mechanic Community Australia to claim their prize, otherwise, the prize will be forfeited.

The prize is non-transferrable

The prize is not redeemable for CASH

Additional expenses may be incurred to the winner by way of claiming this prize and it is the sole responsibility of the prize winner to evaluate, accept and cover these expenses. 

Mechanic Community Australia and our Premier Community Partners will not cover any additional costs arising from claiming this prize.

Should the winner wish to extend their travel dates or nominate travel companion/s, they will need to notify Mechanic Community Australia WITHIN THE 7 DAY PRIZE CLAIM PERIOD and it is the SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER TO COVER ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES including but not limited to additional airfare expenses, accommodation or incidentals.

The prizes are subject to conditions imposed by the suppliers of the prizes.

Entry to Mechanic.com.au competitions are open to all Australian and New Zealand residents; excluding Mechanic Community Australia and Premier Community Partner employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its related companies.

Entrants to Mechanic.com.au competitions must be a minimum of 16 years of age.

Unless expressly stated, all other expenses become the responsibility of the winner.

If any prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value.

Prize winners are advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winning and may wish to seek independent financial advice prior to the acceptance of the prize.

Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason a winner does not take the prize or an element of the prize within 7 days of Mechanic.com.au making contact, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited.

All prize winners agree to the use of their entry submission, name and address suburb for publicity and competition purposes, without compensation.

The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner (and his/her companion – where applicable) must sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.

Prizes are not redeemable for cash, credit or product and no exchanges are offered. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize (or part thereof).

The Promoter, their associated agencies and companies associated with this competition take no responsibility for prize damage or lost in transit and the Promoter will not be responsible for any delay in delivery, damage to or loss in transit of the prize.

Each entrant's personal information ("PI") is collected to enable the Promoter to administer and promote this Competition and the winner. The PI of winners may be provided to third parties who are assisting the Promoter, including prize suppliers, deliverers and authorities that regulate competitions. Entrants who fail to provide all requested PI, may be determined by the Promoter, at its sole discretion to be ineligible to win a prize. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this promotion is further governed by the Privacy Policy found on the Mechanic.com.au Website

The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, corruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer networks and systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by the Promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination of them, including any injury or damage to any entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Competition.

All entries become the property of Mechanic.com.au and as such, Mechanic.com.au is the owner of all copyright and other intellectual property.

The laws of South Australia govern Mechanic.com.au competitions.

The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardize the fair and proper conduct of the competition. The Promoters legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.

If for any reason the competition is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.

Mechanic Community Australia acknowledges that this promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook and Mechanic Community Australia releases Facebook from any and all liability arising as a result of this promotion.

In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the event and recommence it from the start on the same conditions at a later date.
