Skills & requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations of the workshop
• Diagnose and repair faults in light vehicles, including cars and light commercial vehicles
• Carry out routine maintenance such as servicing, oil changes, and tyre rotations
• Test and inspect vehicles to identify any issues or potential problems
• Replace worn or faulty parts, including brakes, suspension, and electrical components
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients

What We're Looking For

• Formal qualifications in Automotive Mechanics or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mechanic, preferably in a light vehicle workshop
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• 4WD experience essential
• Rego inspection qualification or willingness to obtain
• Proficient in the use of automotive tools and equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
• Good customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident with valid work rights

Additional Information

• Valid driver's license is required
• Heavy vehicle license is advantageous
• Cert 3 in light vehicle is required
• Refrigerant gas / AC license is advantageous
• Forklift license is advantageous
• Basic computer skills are required
