Neale Goad Automotive is looking for a Qualified Mechanic / Technician to join the team at our Wendouree workshop. This is a great opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys quality mechanical work, solving problems, and keeping customers safely on the road.

About the Role

Based at 206 Burnbank Street, Wendouree, you’ll be working on a wide range of vehicles, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance.

We’re looking for someone who can bring strong mechanical knowledge, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for the trade. You’ll need to be confident using workshop tools and equipment, comfortable working with mechanical parts, and able to communicate clearly with the team and customers when needed.

 

Skills & requirements

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll be:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing customer vehicles
• Diagnosing faults and recommending the right repairs
• Using workshop tools and equipment safely and effectively
• Working with parts, repair information and workshop processes
• Communicating clearly with the team and customers
• Keeping your work area safe, clean and organised
• Helping deliver reliable, quality workmanship every time

What We’re Looking For

The ideal applicant will have:

• At least 4 years’ experience as a mechanic or technician
• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of mechanical repairs, tools and equipment
• Good mechanical parts knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
• A current driver’s licence
• A reliable, professional and team-focused attitude

Bonus Points For

These aren’t essential, but they would definitely be well regarded:

• Roadworthy Certificate / RWC licence
• Refrigerant handling / air conditioning licence
• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology AUR30620
