I have met some very switched-on technicians in my travels and I have noticed a trait they all have in common.
They owned a Snap-on toolbox large enough to sleep in?
They lived on a diet of Red Bull and Cigarettes?
They had extensive training and qualifications?
None of the above.
The thing they all have in common is a beginners mind.
What do I mean by this?
They stay hungry and inquisitive and accept the cold hard fact that even after many years in this industry they will never "know it all"
They are never satisfied with a fix unless they understood how it was acheived.
These guys are some of the smartest, yet most humble technicians and trainers I have had the pleasure of meeting.
