About the Role

Foster Service Centre, a leading automotive repair and maintenance provider, is seeking an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our dedicated team in Foster, VIC. In this full-time or part-time position, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a variety of light vehicles, ensuring our customers receive the highest quality service.

Skills & requirements

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Fitting out vehicles with Ironman 4x4 accessories.

  • Working on a large range of car and 4x4 vehicles—all makes and models.
  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on light vehicles, including oil changes, brake inspections, and diagnostic checks.
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electronic issues using advanced diagnostic equipment.
  • Providing exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their concerns.
  • Working as part of a team to efficiently complete the day's tasks.

What We're Looking For

  • Cert 3 qualified mechanic but also open to a competent 3rd or 4th year apprentice.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in the diagnosis and repair of a wide range of vehicles.
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Forklift license is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment required to conduct all repairs is a must.
