Ditch the Cardboard and Brake Cleaner

Hopefully by now you've got your hands on an RST200 and that's helping you get to those snookered oil filters.

But even if you can get a grip on them, if they're half way up the block or upside down, they can make a bloody mess when you crack them.

Or what about those occasions when you remove the sump plug and the stream of oil spurts straight onto an engine crossmember, diff or bash plate.

Instead of getting oil everywhere and using half a can of brake cleaner to get rid of the evidence, try out Rycos new Flexi-Funnel.

RST3001

We have had a couple of flexible rubber "funnel tools" in our research workshops for a while now, but what really takes the cake is that the RST300 has an aluminium core which allows you to bend it into any rigid shape, over and over again. This would have been especially handy when one of our generic funnel tools decided to flop open and we lost about 2 litres of Penrite HPR5 down the back of an engine and spent the next hour cleaning it.

The Flexi Funnel isn't just for draining engine oil, you can use it anywhere; diffs, gearboxes, transfer cases etc. You can even eat your lunch off it. Actually, don't do that.

Considering some of our members workshops go through about $50 of brake cleaner a week, a $29.95RRP investment (Cheaper for trade) in the RST300 isn't too shabby considering you can use it over and over again.
